How To Properly Maintain Your Viper Automatic Gate Opener

There are two questions that we are always asked from our clients upon purchase of their new Viper Automatic Gate Openers:
"What should I do to maintain my new Viper gate opener?" and "How often should I check on my Viper gate opener to see if it needs maintenance?"
These are super simple answers, and we're here to help you every step of the way!
First and foremost, you should regularly check the chain to your Viper gate opener. The chain should be oiled often, especially for those that receive the full force of all four seasons of the year. By lubricating your gate chain often, you will reduce any type of future problems such as: chain rusting, snagging, and freezing in place due to extreme low temperatures during the Winter months. We would recommend lubricating the gate chain at least once a month. You can use an oil or silicon spray.
You really want to make sure that your moving parts of the motor and gate chain stay debris free as much as you can. Most importantly after any type of heavy wind and rain storms, snow, and the changing of the seasons of Summer into Fall. You will have all of that extra foliage floating through air and onto the ground...possibly onto your gate chain. By keeping up proper grounds maintenance (Free of debris, ice, snow, etc.), you will be able to extend the life of your Viper automatic gate opener.
If you have any questions about useful hints to help extend the longevity of your Viper automatic gate opener, please don't hesitate to contact us! We're here to help you with our amazing customer service.
