Compact and easy: The R.A.S receiver and remote transmitter

RAS or Remote Access Service receiver system is a highly developing arena in new world technological solutions. Many manufacturers are high players in this category, including Viper Gate Systems. RAS systems fall under the broad category of Conditional Access systems. The basic principle is to gain access by measuring the distance between the distance of radio and the transmitter. The range is about 1500 ft., quite higher than available systems, which only have the range of a meager 200-500 ft. The radio receiver requires open space to send the radio waves over a specific band frequency. There is a predefined code which gains access, set by the user himself. Only using this code will help gain access to the sliding gate.

The power source is selective, which allows you to choose any range from 12 volts to 24 volts, this power source can be DC or AC according to user choice.

There are eight DIP switches in the electronic transmitter circuit. Each one can be placed in three different positions: -, 0 and +. This, in turn sets the specific access code. But, do not set all the three switches to the same position, as all +, all – or all 0. Once you have set the code, the transmitter code is ready. It can be used for both for both AC and DC power sources. In case of an AC power source the plugged in transformer comes into use. This transformer steps up the signal frequency increasing the bandwidth over a higher range.

The programming of the device is taken care by two switches which are present on the rear side of the device. The two switches, P1 and P2 follow a simple programming procedure, thus allowing anybody to easily program the device. P1 switch is used for programming button, whereas the P2 acts as the leaning button.

The R.A.S receiver and remote transmitterare being launched in different models increasing efficiency and better performance. The R.A.S transmitter has been launched in a new key chain design. This model is very compact and efficient. It has a range of 500 feet, within which it operates smoothly without any malfunctions. These high range devices are mainly designed for the use in rural areas. A compatible home link gives the device it’s easy to use feature. The device is powered by a 12 volt battery. Thus the power source is not a headache and can be replaced easily when needed. The compact design allows it to be carried anywhere without any kind of problem.
